Amidst all the gigantic series coming to Prime Video in the near future, several smaller, off-beat projects are beginning to take shape. A long-anticipated one that should please many veteran comic book readers is the adaptation of Scott Snyder's Wytches comic book series.

While the conversation surrounding it has yet to hit the mainstream, Snyder has been hyping the project up for a good while now. It seems to be retaining most of (if not all) the traits that made the six-issue series so special, and it seems like we'll be getting at least two seasons out of it. According to the author (via X/Twitter), season 1 will arrive in 2025. Moreover, the writing team will be jumping straight into the scripts for season 2 in around two months.

Most of the details about the series, beyond Snyder's close involvement, are being kept under wraps, so it'll be a while before we get a proper look at how the animated series looks and the voice cast it packs. Looking at how stacked the ongoing adaptation of Prime Video's Invincible series is, we should fully expect Wytches' roster to be stunning as well.

Snyder's limited comic book series, illustrated by Jock, follows the Rooks family as they move to the remote town of Litchfield, NH, to escape a haunting trauma. As they try to start over, something evil is waiting for them in the woods just outside the town. Of course, more scares and trauma ensue. No spoilers from us, sorry. Go read it! It's the perfect kind of captivating material that should kill on TV if executed properly.
