Where's Waldo is the definition of fun for the whole family at ECCC '24

At this year's Emerald City Comic Con, he most sought after character isn't a superhero

There's a lot of talk these days about 'next generation' characters - creations within a franchise to welcome in a new age of fans. Think of Finn, Poe, and Rey from the Star Wars sequels, the Carpenter sisters from Scream, or even the new crop of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But there's one franchise lead that's beloved across the ages. In fact, he's the most sought-after fictional character at this year's Emerald City Comic Con.

The only question is - will he be found?

Waldo of the epynonomous Where's Waldo books is indeed at ECCC '24, and he's brought with him a challenge for young and old alike. Attendees to the convention can head to the Family HQ and pick up a postcard entering them into a convention-wide scavenger hunt.

Once the postcard's been obtained, congoers will be on the lookout for three Waldo standees hidden all over the Seattle Convention Center. Of course it won't be easy, but with such an iconic look, even the newest Waldo-hunters should be able to track them down.

Once the hunt is complete, the amateur sleuths can head back to Family HQ and enter their findings to win a Waldo fun pack, comprised of a healthy dose of Waldo merch.

So what are you waiting for? If you're at ECCC now, the hunt is on, whether you've been a fan since Waldo debuted or are just discovering the joys of Waldo's world. Go ahead and get started, just remember: you're looking for Waldo himself... not his tribute-paying cosplayers.
