The idea of striking a balance between magic and technology is what makes the world of The Irregular at Magic High School unique. Magicians are a rare commodity in Japan so, to ensure they don’t fall behind the larger nations, their training is highly regulated. With season three of The Irregular at Magic High School’s release date coming up soon, it won’t be long before we get the chance to see a bit more of this world.
It has been more than two years since the sequel anime for The Irregular at Magic High School was announced, but the third season is due to air on April 5, 2024. This season will cover three different arcs from the original light novel – the Double Seven arc, the Steeplechase arc, and the Ancient City Insurrection arc. With that much content to cover we expect it to be a fast-paced season when it debuts on Crunchyroll.
The Irregular at Magic High School follows the brother and sister pair of Tatsuya and Miyuki Shiba. While Miyuki is the heir apparent to one of the Ten Master Clans due to her magical prowess, it is Tatsuya’s technical knowledge and unique use of his limited magical abilities that makes him the standout at First High School. Despite being in one of the lower ranks, he is viewed as an “irregular” among his classmates.
It has been more than ten years, but The Irregular at Magic High School season three is finally set to premiere on April 5, 2024 on Crunchyroll.
