The First Omen trailer offers spooky synchronization with our first movie Antichrist
The prequel is set to be summoned in April this year.
One of the key rules of horror is to never explain too much – our imagination is often more terrifying than anything filmmakers can conjure up. However, it looks like director Arkasha Stevenson is going to break that rule, judging by the new trailer for The First Omen that was just released.
The trailer shows some gorgeously unsettling footage of a young woman who finds herself in the midst of a huge plot to bring about the Antichrist. In the trailer, we see glimpses of Nell Tiger Free, who is best known for her work in Game of Thrones, as that young woman as she tries to stop the birth of Damien, who terrorized Gregory Peck in The Omen back in 1976. We also see a bit of Bill Nighy whose familiar voice promises, in the trailer, "You don't have to be afraid. This child is His way."
If you can't wait for the movie, which will be released in April, watch this first trailer below.
“A young American woman is sent to Roome to begin a life of service to the church, but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate,” is the official synopsis for the film.
The First Omen also stars Tawfeek Barhorn, Sônia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and Bill Nighy. It is scheduled to hit cinemas on April 5, 2024.
