Superman and Sandman writer Robert Venditti flies into Enter the Popverse this week

Look, up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Or is the return of Ashley Victoria Robinson?

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor hail can keep Enter the Popverse from streaming on these very internets on a weekly basis — but, as was unfortunately evident last week, sickness can do it. Thankfully, host and video producer Ashley Victoria Robinson is back, healthy, and ready for her close-up once again and this Friday, Enter the Popverse returns to your screens with what is unmistakable a super episode.

How super, you might ask? Well, this week’s guest is none other than Robert Venditti, writer of DC’s Superman ’78 series — the comic book set in the continuity of the Christopher Reeve movies that will make you believe once again that a man can fly. Venditti will be talking about that book, as well as his current New Golden Age of DC series, Wesley Dodds: The Sandman… and, given Ashley’s ability to interview like none other, it’s a possibility that even more will be under discussion, as well.

But wait! That’s not all. Popverse editor-in-chief Chris Arrant will also be joining the episode, to talk about the horror juggernaut that is Five Nights at Freddy’s, as the gaming phenomenon — that is also a graphic novel series, a prose series, and a whole bunch of toys — moves into live action movies this weekend with the release of the Blumhouse-produced feature. Which animatronic is Chris’s favorite? How withered is he feeling at this particular moment in time? All will be revealed.

It’s all happening at the usual ETP time of 1pm EST, 10am Pacific this Friday, October 27. Bookmark this page and follow along with the embed below, or click through to YouTube and leave comments as the episode is taking place. There’s no better way to spend your Friday, if you’re honest with yourself.
