Stranger Things: How the Russians got the demodogs could be explained in new comic spin-off
Demogorgons on a ship to be explored in Stranger Things: The Voyage
The Stranger Things universe continues to expand, now with - you guessed it - demogorgons on a ship. Sounds like a good/terrible time, doesn't it? While Stranger Things season 5 is a ways away, you won't have to wait too long to dig into this ocean-faring story, as it begins this November.
Stranger Things: The Voyage is a four-issue comic book series in continuity with the TV series, picking up the threads from season 4 and that Russian gulag Hopper was sent to in the Kanchatka Peninsula, and some apparent escapes wanting to return to America.
"Captain Jacoby is too broke to reject a shady deal from a group of Russians looking to get from Alaska back home on his freighter ship The Persephone, but things don’t go as planned," reads Dark Horse Comics' description of Stranger Things: The Voyage. "Storms, demogorgons, strange doctors, and more all threaten the crew of The Persephone and their passage in this new series."
Dark Horse doesn't specify where in the Stranger Things timeline this series takes place, but this could reveal a major question of Stranger Things season 4 - in how the Russians managed to get the demodogs (and possibly that piece of the Mindflayer) all the way from Hawkins, Indiana to Russian soil.
Stranger Things: The Voyage comic is by writer Michael Moreci, artist Todor Hristov, letterer Nate Piekos, colorist Francesco Segala, and main cover artist Marc Aspinall. There will also be first issue variant covers from artists Kyle Lamber, Diego Galindo, and Todor Hristov.
