Despite the implications of the title, Jinwoo doesn’t take on the dungeon raids that pop up in the Solo Leveling anime alone. While most of the people he encounters become enemies, he does make a few close allies who follow him through his adventure. The Solo Leveling cast is full of powerful foes that only Jinwoo, with his newfound player-powers, can overcome.

Who is Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling?
The main character of Solo Leveling, Jinwoo used to be known as the world’s weakest Hunter. Hunters are the only ones capable of entering gates, which open up and, unless they are cleared in time, allow monsters to spill out into the world. Normally, their strength can’t improve no matter how many gates they clear, but Jinwoo finds himself designated as The Player and can increase his stats using video game-like menus that only he can see.

Who is Lee Joohee in Solo Leveling?
Joohee is a B Ranked Healer who is technically more powerful than the other Hunters that clear dungeons with Jinwoo, but her lack of confidence and tendency to lose her nerve when faced with danger. After she and many others nearly die during a deadly encounter in the first episode, she nearly quits being a Hunter entirely but decides to stick around for a while.

Who is Sung Jinah in Solo Leveling?
Jinwoo’s little sister is a big reason why he continues to delve into Gates despite his lack of strength. He needs the money to help put her through school while paying for their mother’s medical payments. She tends to fight with him for taking such risks but is ultimately thankful for the work he does. Jinah becomes suspicious about her brother’s new strength, particularly when he changes appearance after leveling up.

Who is Yoo Jinho in Solo Leveling
Most people who delve into the dangerous dungeons within the Gates do so for the money, but Jinho is one who definitely doesn’t need the cash. He comes from a wealthy family and shows up with high-level armor and weapons to compensate for his lack of strength. He becomes allied with Jinwoo after the pair are attacked by other Hunters within a Gate and Jinwoo saves him. Together, they set out to help Jinho clear enough B Ranked dungeons to allow his family to set up their own guild and become a true power in the world of Solo Leveling.

Who is Jinchul Woo in Solo Leveling
Jinchul Woo is the head of the Hunters Association’s Surveillance Department, making it his job to keep an eye on unusual new recruits. When Jinwoo becomes one of the few survivors of multiple strange incidents in Gates, that makes him take notice of the former E Ranked Hunter. However, rather than try to control Jinwoo, Woo instead offers advice from time to time, becoming a source of information and support as the story develops.

Who is Cha Haein in Solo Leveling?
Haein is an S Ranked Hunter, making her one of the most powerful people in Solo Leveling. She doesn’t play a huge role in season one, only showing up in a handful of scenes to display her power and to establish her loyalty to the Hunters Guild, but she plays a much bigger part in the manhwa that the anime is based on. She eventually becomes one of Jinwoo’s biggest and most powerful allies.

Who is Yoonho Baek in Solo Leveling?
Another S Ranked Hunter, Baek is the Master of the White Tiger Guild. Even among top-ranked Hunters, he stands above the pack. Another character that doesn’t play a huge part in season one of Solo Leveling, Baek will become more prominent later on as he tries to learn the true source of Jinwoo’s power.

Who is Choi Jongin in Solo Leveling?
The Master of the Hunters Guild, Jongin is another of the most powerful characters in Solo Leveling. Beyond being one of the most powerful fire mages in the world, he is also a master strategist who knows exactly how to get the best out of his guild’s members. However, he is probably one of the weakest S Ranked Hunters in the world in terms of raw power. He is obsessed with returning to Jeju Island, a place where his greatest failure as a leader took place.

Who is Gunhee Go in Solo Leveling?
The Leader of the Hunters Association in Korea, Gunhee Go was once one of the strongest Hunters in the world before age and time caught up with him. As it is, he is content with helping to guide the world of Hunters in a more bureaucratic sense. His role in season one of Solo Leveling is primarily to help establish the setting, but later on, he’ll develop a close bond with Jinwoo.

Who is Song Chi-Yul in Solo Leveling?
Though he is a fire mage Hunter, Song Chi-Yul is a skilled swordsman in his own right. He was the raid leader during the dungeon that nearly killed Jinwoo at the start of the anime and later becomes one of his fiercest allies. He doesn’t know exactly where Jinwoo’s powers come from but he decides to defend him all the same.

Who is Hwang Dong-suk in Solo Leveling?
During a raid, Dong-suk betrays Jinwoo and Jinho, killing them to help get more resources from the dungeon. However, Jinwoo proved to be far more powerful than he expected and managed to kill Dong-suk and his group by himself. Dong-suk is the older brother to Hwang Dong-soo, an S Ranked Hunter who is briefly shown in season one but makes a much bigger impact in future episodes.

Who is Kang Tai-Shik in Solo Leveling?
An officer within the Hunters Association, Kang is introduced as the handler to three C Ranked prisoners sent into a dungeon with Jinwoo and his friends. However, Kang quickly proves to be a dangerous foe, killing the prisoners and several members of Jinwoo’s party before Jinwoo manages to defeat him.
