It's hard to fall asleep while reading this one.

There's a lot going on with The Sandman at the moment, mainly thanks to how successful the live-action Netflix series has been. This means it's the perfect time to jump into one of Neil Gaiman's most famous works, and this Amazon deal should help.

The price of The Sandman Book One (paperback) has been slashed to $13.40 down from the regular $29.99 price. That's 560 pages of awesomeness being sold laughably cheap. Whether you're looking to immerse yourself into that world or trying to get a friend or loved one to read some Gaiman, this is a stellar deal and among the best comic-related ones we've seen so far this week.

This book collects the story arcs "Preludes and Nocturnes," "The Doll's House," and "Dream Country," from The Sandman #1-20, including the first comic book to ever win a World Fantasy Award: issue #19's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." For those coming in fresh, The Sadman tells an "unforgettable tale of the forces that exist beyond life and death" which deals with "a dark and enchanting world of dreams and nightmares: the home of Morpheus, the King of Dreams, and his kin, the Endless." Even if you're familiar with the hit Netflix show, there's so much more to discover within the pages of Gaiman's stories.

Book One is the first of four volumes, drawn by Sam Kieth, Mike Dringenberg, Malcolm Jones III, and Kelley Jones. It also features "spectacular guest art by Chris Bachalo, Colleen Doran, Charles Vess, and Michael Zulli." After the 560 pages of this one, you'll have a pretty good idea of whether you want to continue or not, and taking the plunge has rarely been cheaper.
