If you've had a chance to watch the Boy Kills World trailer, you're probably thinking that it looks pretty different from your average action pic. Legendary director Sam Raimi, who is producing the film, thinks so too. In fact, it's one of the reasons he decided to sign onto the picture.

At WonderCon, Boy Kills World director Moritz Mohr shared - during the film's panel - that he had originally created a concept trailer for his movie idea - that concept trailer is what got Sam Raimi on board as producer. Later in the day, Popverse had the chance to chat about this trailer in a little more detail with Mohr and Raimi. About the original concept trailer Raimi said, "what stood out to me in Mohr's trailer was it's unique sense of humor and then the combination of really cool camera and fight choreography."

And it isn't just that original concept trailer either. Raimi shared during the panel that he thinks that Boy Kills World brings a "new way of approaching action." So new, in fact, that it was difficult to get studios onboard because the project seemed so out there. In other words, it's been a long road from Boy Kills World's humble beginnings to its upcoming debut, which Mohrn confirmed when he told us that if he could go back in time and tell his old self anything about what he knows now, he'd say, "Buckle up. It's going to be a long ride."
