There are some magical, once-in-a-lifetime moments that happen at comic conventions - and many of those are can't-miss panels with creators, celebrities, and fans. Popverse knows that, and since our launch in May 2022 we've been bringing you those big moments - and in many cases, filming them.
Popverse films (and in many cases streams) the biggest panels from New York Comic Con, MCM Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, C2E2, Florida Supercon, and more - and posts them here on our website. For C2e2 this April, we are livestreaming all the big panels, and then making those (and even more) available to watch later on exclusively for paid Popverse members.
Here's a collection of the various panels we have filmed over the years, organized by convention:
- New York Comic Con 2022
- New York Comic Con 2023
- Chicago's C2E2 2022
- Chicago's C2E2 2023

Sounds easy? It's because it is. But sometimes there's bumps along the road - technical problems that get in the way of you watching what you want when you want. So we've assembled this FAQ for streaming convention panels from the Popverse website. We update this guide routinely, collecting the most common issues and providing solutions that have worked and will work in your situation.
Here is a sample of our video streaming, so you can test BEFORE your favorite panel begins if your software and hardware is optimized. If you can't watch this, read the FAQ below on working out your issues to ensure an ideal experience.
If you don't see your issue addressed in the below FAQ, don't worry - contact Popverse customer service at [email protected].
It says I need to be a member. How do I do that?
Popverse films (and in many cases streams) the some of the biggest panels from New York Comic Con, Emerald City Comic Con, C2E2, and MCM Comic Con - and posts them here on our website. These full panel videos are a core benefit of being a paid Popverse member.
Once you've signed up as a paid Popverse member and then login with your ReedPop iD, a bevy of streamed panels and filmed panels from this and prior shows is available to you.
Which desktop and mobile platforms will run Popverse video?
Popverse's streaming and VOD panels are supported on most popular desktop and mobile platforms, but we can only guarantee full functionality on platforms that are still supported by their providers. We strongly recommend keeping your device's operating system and browser as up-to-date as possible to avoid any bugs or potential security vulnerabilities.
Microsoft has ended support for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. Microsoft maintains support for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 and still provides security updates for these platforms. Mainstream browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox can be downloaded on these platforms and used to access Vimeo, however, each of these browsers has their own system requirements; newer browser versions may not be compatible with earlier Windows versions.
Apple maintains support for macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and still provides security updates. The Safari browser installed with macOS is updated along with system updates; the latest version, Safari 13, is compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave and newer.
Users of macOS can also download the Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browsers to access Vimeo; see our list of supported browsers above. These browsers have their own system requirements. Newer browser versions may not be compatible with earlier versions of macOS.
Which browser should I use to watch Popverse videos?
Popverse video playback is supported in browsers that can decode H.264 videos in an HTML5 player. Due to security vulnerabilities, Popverse does not support Flash.
Popverse video playback is supported using these browsers: Chrome 30+, Firefox 27+, Microsoft Edge, and Safari 11. For those using Firefox on Windows, H.264 video decoding (which Popverse uses) is only supported in Windows 7 and later.
The Popverse videos are choppy and/or slow loading. What can I do?
Viewers must have a minimum stable download speed of 500 kpbs in order to play low-resolution 240p video from Popverse. For a more enjoyable viewing experience and to play high definition video, we recommend accessing Vimeo using a 5 Mbps or faster internet connection. Whenever possible, hardwired ethernet connections are preferred over wireless (Wi-Fi or cellular).
Not sure what speeds your device is receiving? Visit https://testmy.net/download (on mobile or desktop) for an estimate. We recommend performing this test a few times since bandwidth can change.
What about Popverse video on phones, tablets, and mobile devices?
Popverse videos operates on mobile and tablet devices, but we can only guarantee full functionality on platforms that are still supported by their providers.
Popverse members and digital ticket holders using an Android device can access videos if you are using an Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer devices. We recommend downloading Chrome or Firefox for Android. These browsers have their own system requirements; newer browser versions may not be compatible with earlier versions of Android.
iOS/iPadOS users can access Popverse videos from iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad by using the pre-installed Safari browser running iOS 12, iPadOS 12, or newer. Third-party browsers installed from the App Store such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox use the Safari rendering engine and should function identically to Safari.
Users of Blackberry, Palm, Windows Phone, and other mobile platforms may be able to view Popverse videos on browsers that support HTML5. The Popverse video player is not tested in these environments, so support for these platforms cannot be guaranteed.
If I miss the livestreaming of panels, can I watch it later?
Yes! After the livestream ends, we will be uploading a video-on-demand version of the video in the same article that will be viewable for paid Popverse members or digital ticketholders.
I'm getting an error message, saying 'Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here.' What do I do?
Once you're logged in as a paid Popverse member or digital ticket holder, all of Popverse's members-only articles including full panel videos and streaming videos will be viewable by you through individual articles. But if you come across a blacked-out box with the note 'Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here,' you might be stumped. But there are solutions.
If you run into the 'Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here' message, first try to clear the cookies on your browser. If that doesn't work, make sure your browser is up-to-date. Third, try another browser - sometimes some browsers have specific settings that block video playback.
If you're trying to view this on a phone or mobile device and are still having issues, sometimes outdated operating systems will prevent our videos from being played. Check your OS and see if you can update it, or try another device.
If after trying these solutions you're still having problems, contact Popverse customer service at [email protected].
