Pedro Pascal in talks to play Fantastic Four's Reed Richards
Maybe we'll finally know who's playing Mr. Fantastic soon
The wait to find out who is going to play the MCU's Mr. Fantastic may finally be drawing to a close.
While we've had plenty of fun speculating (you can vote in our fancast poll here) who is going to take on the role of Reed Richards, at this point, we're starting to just want to know. Though there have been many rumors about John Krasinski returning to the role after his turn as Reed in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, now another name is being bandied about... and it's a good one.
Yes, it appears (at least according to Deadline's sources) that Pedro Pascal a.k.a the Mandalorian a.k.a. Oberyn Martell a.k.a. Joel Miller may be adding yet another huge franchise to his list (as if Game of Thrones and The Last of Us wasn't enough). As Popverse staff writer Graeme McMillan pointed out, if this shakes out, Pascal will have been in the Big Three - the MCU, the DCEU, and Star Wars. It's also worth noting that since his turn in The Mandalorian and then in The Last of Us, Pascal has been carving out a niche for himself playing dad-like figures . It only makes sense to add Reed Richards to the list.
Of course, Marvel has yet to confirm anything, and it looks like it's still early talks, but it's nice to know that Pedro Pascal may be joining the MCU as one of Marvel's most iconic characters ever.
Now, we just need to figure out who might play his kids. That is, if Val and Franklin make it into the movie.
