Marvel, DC, VIZ, HBO Max, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, more lead New York Comic Con 2022 big panels

Outlander, DC, Star Trek, Marvel, and more (including Weird Al) are coming to NYCC 2022

We'reless than a month away from 2022's New York Comic Con, and the majority of the superstar panels have been revealed. TV shows such as The Walking Dead, Outlander, Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, and more Gare coming, as is Daniel Radcliffe and Weird 'Al' Yankovic for Roku's upcoming Weird: The Al Yankovic Story bio-pic.

And yes, there will be comics, with DC Comics in full force, and the manga-ka behind VIZ's Ultraman manga Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi also scheduled to be here for panels (and more).

Popverse will be at all four days of New York Comic Con, providing the most comprehensive coverage of the festivities - live from the stages and panels, live from the convention floor, and as well as with unprecedented backstage access.

Doom Patrol

The Winchesters

His Dark Materials

From Philip Pullman's epic His Dark Materials fantasy trilogy, in the final chapter of the HBO and BBC One series, Lyra (Dafne Keen), the prophesied child, and Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife, must journey to a dark place from which no one has ever returned. An Animation Journey with Cartoon Network and Adult Swim

Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler screening

One of Us is Lying

Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment marks the 30th anniversary of the blockbuster Mortal Kombat video game series with an inside look at the making of Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind, the third in a series of MK-inspired feature-length animated films. Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind finds vicious, power-mad Kano determined to take over Earthrealm, one soul at a time. Assisted by a trio of cold Black Dragon mercenaries, he embarks on a brutal assault from town to defenseless town. The choice is simple: kneel or be annihilated. But when the cocky and talented but undisciplined Kenshi doesn’t take a knee, Kano and his clan destroy the young warrior, taking his eyesight and his confidence. Violent Night: Exclusive screening event

NYCC attendees will be the first audience in the world to see Violent Night, the new coal-dark holiday thriller from 87North, the bare-knuckle producers of Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2 and razor-edged director Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow franchise). When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (David Harbour, Black Widow, Stranger Things series) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is scheduled to debut in Japan in October 2022, but fans outside of Japan haven't been sure when they can see finally it - until now. VIZ will be hosting a screening of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 1 on Saturday Octoer 8, along with a special panel, cosplay contest, and more.

Roku's Let's Get Weird panel for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Daniel Radcliffe and 'Weird' Al Yankovic will lead an awesome crew coming to New York Comic Con to talk about the upcoming Roku bio-pic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Radcliffe and Yankovic will be joined by Radcliffe's co-star Evan Rachel Wood and director Eric Appel to talk aout this "outrageously epic" film which debuts November 4.

Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!

V/H/S/99: V/H/S Goes To Hell

Where: Room 401

Shudder's hit series V/H/S returns to New York Comic Con with its upcoming found footage feature, V/H/S/99. Expect the directors of the anthology, as well as some producers, to be here to talk about the film which debuts on October 20.
