Get free tattoos based on your favorite Netflix movies, TV shows, and anime
A new Scott Pilgrim tattoo is sure to make your mother proud.
There aren’t any wrong ways to express your love of all things geeky, though some are more permanent than others. Netflix, as part of their Geeked Week event, is offering lucky fans in select cities the chance to get their favorite shows etched on their skin forever. With Geeked Ink, you can get a free tattoo based on Netflix shows, proving the extent of your fandom for all to see.
There are a couple of stipulations here, of course. Geeked Ink is only taking place from 6-12 November in a few cities in the US. Those cities are:
- Atlanta, GA – City of Ink (6-7 November from 1 pm – 9 pm EST)
- Brooklyn, NY – Flyrite Tattoo (7-8 November from 1 pm – 9 pm EST)
- Denver, CO – Dead Drift Tattoo (8-9 November from 12 pm – 8 pm MST)
- Los Angeles, CA – Shamrock Social Club (10-12 November from 12 pm – 10 pm PST)
- Richmond, VA – Unkindness Art (11-12 November from 11 am – 7 pm EST)
Each tattoo shop has its own selection of 'flash' tattoos, which are pre-designed by the artists to be easy and quick to apply. Don’t let the name fool you, though – these are real, permanent tattoos that will stay on you long after the show they’re based on is unceremoniously canceled by Netflix midway through its story. Which tattoos are available will depend on which tattoo parlor you book your appointment with and you won’t be able to make any adjustments or additions to the design without incurring a fee from the artist.
Most of the tattoos are from shows like Squid Game, The Witcher, or Stranger Things, but there are some wicked Castlevania designs available that are very tempting if you can get through the door. Each shop has a limited number of appointments – and some are already filling up – so Netflix is advising that you book through their website. Also, you have to bring ID with you to prove you're 18 or older to take part.
