And you thought the Dune popcorn bucket was a lot. Ahead of its July release, Marvel Studios’ Deadpool and Wolverine has unveiled its special edition popcorn bucket, and… okay, for people who are very fond of Wolverine and/or have always wanted to stick their fist down his throat, this summer is going to be a very special time indeed.

The bucket was revealed via social media posts by the movie’s stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, as well as director Shawn Levy:

Yes, we all know what it looks like. Yes, that’s almost certainly intentional. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased the bucket at CinemaCon back in April, telling theater owners, "There are some movies that inadvertently make crude and lewd popcorn buckets, and then there are popcorn buckets designed by Deadpool."

Really, who had “novelty popcorn buckets that look like sex toys actually officially released by Marvel” on their 2024 bingo card? Because I sure didn’t. The lengths that Marvel is going to in order to convince people that Deadpool is still edgy now that he’s fully under the control of the House of Mouse are quite something to behold, indeed.

Details about the release of the bucket are unknown — if it is, in fact, actually real; we haven’t actually had official confirmation of that just yet. Let’s just say that it has the potential to be a very good summer for true X-Men fans, if you know what we mean.

Deadpool and Wolverine will hit theaters July 26. When theaters will hit back, we’ll have to wait and see. Until then...
