The busiest, loudest city on the planet is about to learn the value of silence as A Quiet Place: Day One gets ready to sneak its way into cinemas around the world. The prequel to the popular horror series gives fans a glimpse into what it was like during the first days of the alien invasion that wiped out most of humanity. We suspect things won’t go particularly well for most of A Quiet Place: Day One cast, but hopefully at least some of them will survive.

Set in New York City, A Quiet Place: Day One follows a woman named Sam as the city is invaded by seemingly impervious alien creatures that can detect even the slightest sound. Most of the cast of the film are new to the franchise, though Djimon Hounsou is returning to reprise his role from A Quiet Place Part II.

Aside from Henri, who plays a large role in A Quiet Place Part II, we don’t know the fate of the rest of the cast. Which is exactly how we like to go into a horror film. With neither John Krasinski nor Emily Blunt expected to reprise their roles from the first two films, we don’t know who will make it to the end credits. Almost anyone is fair game for the violent aliens with super-hearing to tear their way through.
