Marvel is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month 2023 with a series of stunning covers by artist Ernando Souza, in a series they're calling the Comunidades Variants.
The Comunidades variants will be released in October, each spotlighting a fan-favorite Latin or Latinx character in Marvels roster. You can check out the list of the announced variants here:
- October 11: Avengers #6
- October 11: X-Men: Red #16
- October 18: Incredible Hulk #5
- October 18: Scarlet Witch #9
According to Marvel's official site, the list isn't complete just yet; more titles will be announced as part of the Comunidades Variant program in the coming weeks.
Also lined up for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month is a host of stories from every corner of the Marvel Universe, starring and written by Latin and Latinx members of the House of Ideas. These include:
- A Power Man story in by writer Vita Ayala and artist Alitha Martinez
- A Shark-Girl and Sunspot team-up by writers Raphael Draccon and Carolina Munhóz and artist Marcelo Costa
- Firebird's return to the Avengers by writer Kalinda Vazquez and artist Alba Glez

As of this writing, Marvel's only revealed two Comunidades covers, with a promise to unveil more the closer we get to October. Check out those two covers below; we'll be updating as more covers pop up.
