The Lord of the Rings: The War of Rohirrim will be executive produced by one of the screenwriters of The Lord of the Rings and producer of The Hobbit films Philippa Boyens. The screenplay will be written by Phoebe Gittins (Boyens' daughter) and Arty Papageorgiou based on a script from Jeffrey Addis and Will Matthews. Other members of the creative team include Richard Taylor (who won Academy Awards for best makeup and best visual effects for his work on The Lord of the Rings), Alan Lee (who won an Academy Award for art direction on Lord of the Rings), and illustrator John Howe.

Who is in the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The War of Rohirrim?

Brian Cox will play Helm Hammerhand, Gaia Wise will play Hera Hammerhand, Luke Pasqualino will play Wulf, and Miranda Otto will reprise her role as Éowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, and serve as the series' narrator. In the ensemble are actors Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna, and Janine Duvitski.
