Jeremy Renner's back and ready to take on the MCU (maybe) - here are four other universes he could return to
Why not rejoin the Mission Impossible franchise?

After a long recovery from a serious accident and subsequent injury, Jeremy Renner is back at work. Not only that, he recently told Entertainment Tonight that he'd be "always game" to return to the Avengers franchise and reprise his role as Hawkeye.
But The Avengers isn't the only franchise that Renner could return to. In fact, he seems to have taken part in an above-average number of franchises, having almost been set up to replace leading man roles in many of them.
Here are the franchises that Jeremy Renner could return to - if he were game:
28 Weeks Later
Jeremy Renner starred in 28 Weeks Later, a 2007 sequel to 2002's seminal, original 28 Days Later film. It's just been announced that there will be a third installment titled 28 Years Later (which is going to set off a potential trilogy). Though the movie will likely, as in the title, take place 28 years after the initial events of the first film - who knows? Jeremy Renner could always make a cameo...
Mission: Impossible
Jeremy Renner's William Brandt was one of the bright spots of Brad Bird's 2011 movie Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. It also felt like the movie was setting him up to take over for Tom Cruise as the face of the Impossible Missions Force. Though Renner did reappear in the franchise for 2015's Rogue Nation, we missed him in the most recent Fallout and Dead Reckoning Part One. Maybe we'll get to see him in the as-of-yet untitled second Dead Reckoning film. It'd be great to catch him again.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
Who doesn't love an action gritty remake of a fairy tale? As it turned out, critics... but though they panned Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, it was a box office hit, especially compared to it's trim production budget. Audiences were clearly there for Hansel & Gretel (and in 3D too) the first time around. A sequel was announced to be in the works in the early 2010s, but news about it puttered out over time. Who knows, though? Maybe now's the moment.
Bourne
Who doesn't remember that Jeremy Renner almost took over for Matt Damon for a new line of Bourne movies? ... most people? Well, The Bourne Legacy may not have been a huge hit at the time, but Jeremy Renner's star presence has really begun to take over Hollywood in the years since 2012. Maybe it's time to give Renner's Bourne another chance.
