Last season of CBS comedy Ghosts ended on a big cliffhanger, as we all learned that one of the ghosts was “sucked off.” Now that Ghosts is back, we’ve figured out that it wasn’t just any ghost who disappeared, but one of the core ghosts.
Spoilers ahead: Fan favorite ghost Flower is no longer with us. Which is a major shame, as she brought so much fun and sweetness to the comedy series. But it isn't just fans who will be missing Flower - her ghostmates miss her too. Popverse recently had a chance to chat Asher Grodman - who plays other favorite core ghost Trevor - about Flower’s (and actress Sheila Carrasco’s) departure from the series.
“At the end of the day, I think Sheila Carrasco’s just a genius. As great as she is on the show, she's even more brilliant [in life]. She's so funny, and I think has the hardest job of any of us, because Flower’s - in the way that we're existing in two worlds are once between the ghost world and the real world and responding to both - she's living in three [worlds]. Because she's also dealing with the fact that she's high 75% of time… and then delusions, so it's just such a remarkable juggling act and she does such incredible job with it," Grodman shared.
As for how the show feels different without Carrasco around, Grodman said, "For us it's still felt very incomplete not having her there because she's so wonderful as an artist. and as a person. We all love her so much. And I think the show misses her.”
We'll certainly miss Flower too. But hey, since Ghosts is all about the supernatural, maybe we'll see her again one day. Here's hoping.
