Can you walk that prop AND talk that shop but feel like an outsider in many of the maker forums? We do too! Join members of SheProp! the prop-making forum for women trans, two-spirit and non-binary artists and creators as we answer all of your cosplay and prop-making questions free of judgement and criticism. Our expert panelists can answer your questions on a wide variety of topics and can help you get the information you need to take your cosplay to the next level. NYCC 2021 | Cosplay Central Showcase at NYCC

The Cosplay Showcase is where fans and cosplayers can showcase their craftsmanship in style. This event is open to all cosplayers and is an opportunity for fans of all levels to strut their stuff in their hand made costumes on the main stage. The Cosplay Showcase will take place on Sunday. There are prizes (for over 18s only) but cosplayers are free to take part just for fun if they do not wish to be judged. Family Groups and Juniors (13-17) are welcome to take part.

Ever since Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley published "Frankenstein" over two hundred years ago women have been at the forefront of science-fiction and science-fiction fandom. Women created the first media conventions; Women organized letter-writing campaigns to television studios; Women were costuming publishing fanzines writing fan fiction and creating fan art long before the days of live tweets and reaction videos. Our panelists will celebrate the history of the women who laid the groundwork for modern-day fandom as we aspire to carry on their legacy.

Join Paramount+, CBS Studios, and Nickelodeon for a premiere screening for the whole family of the highly anticipated upcoming “Star Trek” animated kids’ series, STAR TREK: PRODIGY. This workshop is designed to help you with those aches and pains that we develop from being hunched over the latest armor build or beating the final boss. You will leave with new skills in your health arsenal including mobility stretches, strength movements, and even a few nutritional tips. Note: This is a seated movement workshop tailored with various body types in mind.

Jonathan Rockefeller will speak with appearances by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Paddington, The Golden Girls, The Cast from Friends (our new show beginning in November) and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger. Three teachers from MS137 School of Heroes in Ozone Park will share how they use comics, graphic novels, anime and manga to promote social emotional learning in their classrooms. Some examples are introducing a comic library in the classroom and creating comic characters out of characters from novels.
