It’s almost time to return to Arrakis, as Warner Bros. Studios teases upcoming sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two, showcasing even more of the abilities of Paul Atreides, the conflict between the Fremen and the Harkonnens, and teasing at least one familiar face debuting in the much-anticipated sequel.
Is there a Dune: Part Two trailer?
While light on plot specifics, the new trailer once again showcases not just the astonishing cast list of the big screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic novel — Timothée Chalet! Zendaya! Florence Pugh! Dave Bautista! Léa Seydoux! Christopher Walken, for goodness sake! — but also the beautiful visuals conjured by director Denis Villeneueve and cinematographer Greig Fraser. What is Dune: Part Two about?
The official plot description for the movie from the studio runs, “Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
The movie is the continuation of 2021’s Dune, and adapts the second half of Herbert’s original 1965 novel. Yes, further sequels and spin-offs are already in development.
Who is in Dune: Part Two?
This sequel fo 2021's Dune features returning actors Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem, along with the franchise debuts of Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux.
What is the Dune: Part Two release date?
Dune: Part Two was originally scheduled to open in theaters (in most countries) on November 3, 2023, but was delayed until March 15, 2024 because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
