One of the most popular bands in North America is reuniting after a surprise parody/homage has put them back in the spotlight.

Chuck E. Cheese and Munch's Make Believe Band is back.

Hot on the heels of the box office success of the homage/parody that is Five Nights at Freddy's, the international Chuck E. Cheese corporation is reuniting the band - in full animatronic glory - to once again perform live, nightly.

There's one catch.

Chuck E. Cheese and Munch's Make Believe Band aren't going on tour - instead, like many performers such as Britney Spears and Celine Dion, they're taking up a residency. No, not in Las Vegas. Instead, they're performing in Northridge, California (just outside of Los Angeles) and the Chuck E. Cheese Fun Center located there.

Announced Thursday at a Chuck E. Cheese press conference, this news came with appearances by the band themselves: keyboardist Mr. Munch, guitarist Jasper T. Jowls, drummer Pasqually, vocalist Helen Henny, and of course Charles 'Chuck' E. Cheese doing whatever he wants to do.

“We love performing so much, it’s practically hard-wired into us,” Chuck E Cheese said during the press conference.

Here's what the stage show will look like:

The Northridge, California Chuck E. Cheese Fun Center will be the only location in the near-600 location chain that will feature animatronics. Sadly, Chuck E. Cheese began removing the animatronic band as part of its fun centers in 2019.

"As an important part of the legacy of the brand, we know that the animatronic band holds a special place for many fans in their childhood memories," says company president/CEO David McKillips. "We want our fans to know that the decision to keep the band here is meant as a gesture of love and gratitude as our legacy continues to evolve in new ways."

The band's first performance will be on November 10th as part of a 'grand re-opening party'. Not only will visitors be able to catch the band's first set back, but there's also going to be free cake and a poster to be had. If you have any old Chuck E. Cheese tokens lying around, you can even trde them in for an exclusive commemorative pin.
