Band of Brothers fans will be looking to the skies with Apple+'s new air force series Masters of the Air
The first trailer for the series dropped today
Fans of acclaimed wartime dramas Band of Brothers and The Pacific will be excited to see the upcoming release of the third installment in the series Masters of the Air, which will follow the stories of the 100th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.
AppleTV+'s upcoming Masters of the Air is based on 2007 book Masters of the Air: America's Bomber Boys Who Fought The Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller and stars Elvis' Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, and upcoming Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa.
As with both Band of Brothers and The Pacific, executive producers on the new series are Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman, with the show coming from Spielberg's Amblin Television and Hanks and Goetzman's Playtone. The show has some high profile directors, as well, including the Captain Marvel pairing of Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck, as well as No Time to Die's Cary Joji Fukunaga.
Masters of the Air is getting a nine episode season, with the show debuting on Apple's streaming service on January 29, 2024 with two episodes, and then single episode drops each week until the series concludes March 15, 2024.
The trailer for the show dropped today, and you can watch it below.
