Romantic comedies aren’t solely confined to Hollywood – there are plenty of manga in the genre as well because everyone loves a good love story. A Condition Called Love, a rom-com manga by Megumi Morino, will get an anime adaptation as part of the Spring 2024 anime season. It was first announced back in July 2023, but when will the A Condition Called Love finally be released?

The first season of A Condition Called Love will air on April 4, 2024 with new episodes airing weekly on Crunchyroll for international fans. That means it isn’t long until we get to see the adorable romance blossom between two unlikely high school sweethearts.

A Condition Called Love is about Hotaru, a 16-year-old high school student with no ambition for romance. She’s just happy doing her own thing with her friends and family. One day after school she happens upon her classmate, Hanaoi, sitting in the snow after a very public breakup with his girlfriend. Hotaru offers him her umbrella – the next day, he asks her out in the middle of her classroom, much to her surprise.

There is something incredibly sweet about watching two young people stumble their way through their first love. Even though shows like A Condition Called Love will heavily dramatize the reality, it is something that most of us have experienced at one point in our lives. That’s why shows like this, My Dress-Up Darling, and Hokkaido Gals are Super Adorable are always fun to watch when they air.

The first episode of A Condition Called Love airs on April 4, 2024 on Crunchyroll.
